Meet Ashley Eatough, CAD Designer

By Focus Engineering In Team No comments

Ashley Eatough is a CAD Designer in the FOCUS CAD Services department. She joined FOCUS after earning a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Utah.

Why FOCUS?

What drew Ashley to FOCUS?  “I loved the culture that you can see from the outside looking in…on their website they had FOCUS University and seeing a company that was interested in teaching the employees about their culture helped FOCUS stand out to me. Since I have started, I have realized that is just the tip of the iceberg of what makes FOCUS a great place to work,” said Eatough.

Diverse Projects

Ashley typically works on structural drafting projects and production architecture projects, primarily using AutoCAD and Revit. Most recently, Ashley has provided architectural design for numerous residential development communities throughout Utah for Lennar, including Jordanelle Ridge in Heber City. She is passionate about her work and developed a love of working in the built environment at an early age. Eatough says, “I have always had a love for using AutoCAD ever since I first used it during my sophomore year of high school. I knew I wanted to be in a career where I could use AutoCAD and other CAD software. What interested me in CAD Services, specifically, was my love for architecture and knowing the structural components a building needs to stand. My role within the FOCUS CAD Services team is the perfect combination of those two interests.”

Outside of the Office

On a personal note, Ashley loves traveling, road trips, and is always ready for an adventure. “If you know me, I am always on the move. If I can see something new or have a new experience, I am going for it. I love traveling and going for road trips. Whether it is hitting three National Parks in three days, or just paddleboarding in a beautiful place to relax, I am content with the experience,” said Eatough.
