I-15 Concrete Panel Replacement
FOCUS collaborated with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) to enhance a two-mile stretch of I-15 from 7200 S to 9000 S, requiring overnight repairs to minimize traffic disruption. Utilizing drone imagery for a comprehensive analysis of the roadway, FOCUS identified deficiencies such as potholes and cracks, while determining whether a full concrete panel replacement or partial panel replacement was necessary. The project demanded quick-setting concrete to ensure the section was repaired overnight, adhering to the tight schedule required so the freeway would be open to live traffic the next morning. Throughout the process, FOCUS maintained close communication with UDOT, conducting extensive research and meetings to align objectives and develop effective solutions for improving the interstate.
