Our Projects

Platform 1500 is a multi-family podium apartment complex offering 60 residential units, located on roughly half an acre in Salt Lake City, Utah. FOCUS provided high-level coordination and communication with the project’s architect to offer quality engineering consultation while preparing civil plans, designs, and managing the city submittal process to keep construction moving forward.

This project is situated in a tight space, as the apartment building’s footprint occupies the entire site. Key challenges included managing grading constraints and developing an effective stormwater management solution within the limited space. To overcome these obstacles, FOCUS collaborated closely with all trades to ensure the grading was both practical and effective. This included working with the structural engineers to design a concrete vault beneath the building, providing an efficient stormwater storage solution that maximized the available space for Platform 1500.
