Our Projects

The Ridge, located in North Salt Lake, Utah, is a mixed-use development spanning 49 acres. It includes 50 townhomes and 144 single-family homes. Developed by CW Land, the project involved selling lots to multiple builders and retaining some for custom homes. In planning the development, the client requested a specific mix and number of units, with a functional layout along the natural grade that would connect smoothly with existing road stubs provided for the property.

The site posed unique challenges due to its steep 200-foot slope from south to north, location near both a gravel pit and a former landslide area on a ridge, and two high pressure gas lines along its eastern edge. FOCUS collaborated with a geotechnical engineer to ensure the site and designs met all geotechnical specifications. Close coordination with the developer and city on storm drains, sewer depths, retaining walls, and roadways, enabled FOCUS to address all challenges and meet budget expectations through value engineering.
