Our Projects

The Rise is a large multifamily development consisting of 120 townhomes and 20 twin home units, spanning just over 9 acres in South Jordan, Utah. FOCUS Engineering and Surveying provided site civil, survey, structural, and construction staking services to make this development possible.

With the development located along a hillside, FOCUS addressed the challenging terrain through implementing multiple retaining walls. The walls were over 9 feet tall along the north, south, and east boundaries of the project. FOCUS conducted drone flights and gathered additional survey data to determine the best road alignments and elevations, ensuring the home pads for the townhomes would be feasible. In addition to the expertise provided on grading and wall placement, FOCUS also designed an additional land drain line along the northeast side of the project to collect groundwater coming from neighboring properties. This allowed FOCUS to design around the existing sewer trunk line running through the middle of the project.
