Every year, we rally around a theme that we hope will sharpen how we serve our clients, strengthen our culture, and push our performance forward.
This year’s theme is TRUE.
It’s a simple word with a clear expectation to stay fixed on what matters most.
We’ve chosen to represent the idea of TRUE through the analogy of archery, using imagery of an arrow and a target. The analogy works because, in archery, every part of the system—each part of each piece of equipment, the movement required to shoot, and even the smallest impact from outside forces—affects the outcome. In archery, you don’t deliver on-target by accident. It’s the result of alignment, effort, discipline, and necessary adjustments. This is TRUE at FOCUS.

The Target: Our Priorities
At the center of everything are our three priorities:
- Relationships
- Values
- Clients
That’s the bullseye.
Everything we do should move us closer to that center. If we miss it, we adjust. If we hit it, we try our best to repeat what worked.

The Arrow Shaft: Alignment
The shaft keeps the arrow straight and stable in flight.
In our work, this represents alignment across teams. When we’re aligned internally, our work travels cleanly toward the target. When we’re not, things drift, no matter how strong the effort behind it.
Being TRUE means making sure we’re pointed in the same direction before we ever take a shot.

The Fletching: Precision and Consistency
Fletching stabilizes the arrow and keeps it flying true.
These are our processes, discipline, and repeatable routines. It’s how we create consistency in how we work, communicate, and deliver.
Without it, results can become scattered. With it, we gain precision, and precision gives us the feedback we need to improve accuracy.

The Arrowhead: Execution
The arrowhead is what ultimately strikes the target.
This represents our execution in the actual work we deliver to clients. It’s the consultation, the plans, the designs, the communication, the follow-through.
Everything behind it (alignment and process) supports this moment. If those pieces are off, our execution suffers. If they’re TRUE, we deliver with clarity and impact.

The Bow: Our Team
The bow provides the power behind the shot.
This is our people and our culture. Our ability to perform comes from the strength of our TEAM—how we support each other, communicate, and stay committed to shared goals.
TRUE shows up in how we work together just as much as what we produce.

The Draw: Stability & Commitment
Drawing the bow takes strength, control, and intention. It’s the moment when everything comes together before the arrow is released.
This represents our strength and stability as a company, and our commitment to being a steady presence for our clients, our team, and our community.
We’re building an organization ready for whatever the future brings and grounded in what matters most.

The Wind and Weather: Real-World Conditions
Wind and weather are unpredictable and often outside the archer’s control.
This is everything we deal with daily, such as changing scopes, tight timelines, unexpected challenges, and imperfect conditions. We don’t wait for the wind or weather to stop, or be ‘just right’ to take our shot. We adjust.
Being TRUE means staying committed to our target even when conditions aren’t ideal—learning, adapting, and improving with each shot.

On Target!
Our mission to Keep FOCUS Clients Happy hasn’t changed. TRUE just brings more clarity to how we get there. When every part is working together:
- We’re aligned (shaft)
- We’re consistent (fletching)
- We execute well (arrowhead)
- We’re supported by a strong team (bow)
- We are stable and committed (draw)
- And we adjust to real-world conditions (wind and weather)
TRUE pushes us to be more intentional, more disciplined, and more aligned so each decision and every interaction moves us closer to the target.
And when we operate that way, hitting the bullseye isn’t the exception. It’s the expectation.
We believe in safe, sustainable, & affordable construction.
