For the fourth consecutive year, FOCUS Engineering & Surveying has been recognized as one of Utah’s Top Workplaces; a distinction awarded by The Salt Lake Tribune based entirely on employee feedback.

This year’s honor highlights FOCUS’s continued commitment to cultivating a workplace where respect, growth, and passion are part of everyday culture.

Recognition Driven by Employee Voices

The Top Workplaces award is powered by a confidential survey conducted by Energage LLC, an independent employee engagement technology partner. The survey explores how employees truly experience their workplace—whether they feel respected and supported, see opportunities for both professional and personal growth, and are empowered to succeed in their roles. Because the recognition is built entirely on employee input, it serves as an authentic reflection of the culture FOCUS has built over the years.

Leadership Perspective

FOCUS founder and general manager Ron Paul shared his excitement about the recognition, “We are thrilled to receive the Top Workplaces award for the fourth year in a row. At FOCUS, we feel our core purpose is to build a better place. That mission would not be possible without our wonderful team. Winning this award is a reflection of their trust in us, and we will continue to strive to maintain that trust as we grow as a team.”

The award reinforces the idea that FOCUS’s success is driven by the dedication and trust of its employees. According to Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage, recognition like this is more than a title, “Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

This people-first approach is especially meaningful as FOCUS continues to grow its role in shaping communities across Utah.
