We are seeking hybrid field/office team members who are interested in building a long-term, fulfilling career in surveying. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills, advance professionally, and participate in the building of our team. No prior experience is required—we provide comprehensive, specialized training to help you succeed.
Traits of an Ideal Team Player:
- Be physically capable of standing, walking, using hands, tools, and controls, reaching with arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as well as lifting and/or moving up to 50-75 pounds.
- Have a valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to reliably commute to our Meridian office (we use company trucks only to drive to job sites).
- Dedication, good work ethic, and commitment to work 40-60 hours per week (overtime is paid at time and a half, and no weekends required).
- Have sustained motivation to work in rough terrain and inclement weather.
- Personable nature, allowing you to interact with internal and external clients to provide extraordinary customer service.
- Humility to accept feedback and the desire to turn it into growth and improvement.

General Responsibilities:
- This position is a hybrid of field and office work.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities and project progress.
- Support survey crews and office staff as needed to meet project objectives.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and professional surveying standards.
Field Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys to collect topographic, boundary, construction, and as-built data.
- Operate survey equipment including GPS receivers, robotic total stations, data collectors, levels, and drones (if applicable).
- Locate and document existing features such as utilities, structures, roads, monuments, and property corners.
- Perform field measurements with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Set survey control points, benchmarks, stakes, and construction layout points.
- Verify survey data completeness and accuracy while in the field.
- Maintain, calibrate, and care for survey equipment and vehicles.
- Follow company safety procedures and site-specific safety requirements.
- Travel to project sites and work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, survey crews, clients, contractors, and public agencies.
Office/CAD Responsibilities:
- Download, organize, and process field-collected survey data.
- Draft survey deliverables using CAD software, including topographic maps, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, plats, and construction documents.
- Create and maintain accurate digital terrain models (DTMs) and surface files.
- Prepare exhibits, sketches, legal descriptions, and survey drawings.
- Review field notes and survey data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Perform calculations for coordinates, elevations, boundaries, and construction layout.
- Research survey records, deeds, plats, easements, and other property-related documents.
- Maintain project files and documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with quality control reviews of survey deliverables.
- Coordinate revisions and updates based on client, project manager, or regulatory requirements.
Pay: $18+
Schedule: 8+-hour day shift, Monday to Friday, No weekends, Overtime Available
