Project Spotlight: Panorama View Drive

By FOCUS Consulting In Projects No comments

Panorama View Drive in Herriman, Utah, includes nearly two miles of public roadway designed to connect multiple phases of residential development while providing access to the future Panorama Park. FOCUS provided transportation engineering, surveying, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services for the project, developing roadway, trail, and landscape plans that respond to the site’s unique terrain and support the community’s long-term vision.

The landscape design features colorful street trees, layered shrubs, and flowering plants throughout the corridor. Asphalt trails on both sides of the roadway and proposed landscape lighting help create an attractive and connected experience for residents and visitors.

Design Challenges

A key challenge of the project was designing a roadway that could follow the site’s varying topography while serving the hillside development. As Panorama View Drive winds through the foothills, roadway and trail alignments evolved throughout the design process, requiring multiple iterations to balance functionality, aesthetics, and constructability.

FOCUS worked closely with the client to refine the design as the project progressed. The team coordinated roadway, trail, and landscape elements, provided planting and irrigation recommendations tailored to the site, and developed 3D renderings to help visualize the future corridor.

The Outcome

Although the project remains ongoing, the design establishes a corridor that connects neighborhoods, future recreational amenities, and the surrounding landscape. Continued coordination between FOCUS and the client has allowed the project to evolve while maintaining a clear vision for the future of the Panorama development.
