Focus Engineering & Surveying was retained by Granite Construction and the adjacent property owners to provide survey and design services for an asphalt batch plant at the north end of Eagle Mountain City.  The required improvements for the development of this plant was the installation of power and natural gas to the batch plant site.  Focus Engineering & Surveying worked closely with Eagle Mountain City and the roadway master plan to design the future road and determine the necessary elevation of these utilities relative to the future road construction which will come much later than the installation of the utilities.  These offsite improvements were over two miles in length from existing infrastructure to the proposed batch plant.  Focus Engineering & Surveying also worked closely with Granite Construction on the design of the plant and to obtain site plan approval with the city.  Focus Engineering & Surveying also provided construction stakes for the mass grading of the site to accommodate the plant.  Once the footings were constructed, Focus Engineering & Surveying also completed an as-built survey to ensure the purchased equipment was built to the constructed components of the plant.
