Partner Profile: Urban Alfandre
Urban Alfandre got its start in 2015 with the acquisition and development of an adaptive reuse project in Alexandra, Virginia. With ties to Utah, founding principals Stephen and James Alfandre looked to the Ballpark neighborhood in Salt Lake City for their next project. Since then, the brothers have spent their time navigating Salt Lake City’s zoning and planning review processes to create attainable, attractive, and accessible housing for individuals and families.
The brothers love Salt Lake City and all it has to offer. “We are neighborhood builders who provide attractive design in walkable neighborhoods,” says Stephen. Disrupting the norms of traditional design and construction means testing new ideas to help change the way housing is provided in urban neighborhoods like the Ballpark, Central Ninth, and Granary Districts. That means finding solid design and construction partners who are eager to collaborate and focus on positive outcomes.
Since choosing to partner with FOCUS in 2020, Stephen has worked with our engineers and surveyors on two projects to bring attractive new design to urban neighborhoods. The most recent is Pacific Yard, a 277-unit, mixed-use, multifamily project in the Granary District.
Stephen appreciates how FOCUS understands the importance of high-quality design. “Just like in all real estate development, speed and accuracy are vital,” he shares. “FOCUS always delivers for us.”
