FOCUS Engineering & Surveying’s new Transportation Engineering Department, led by Jason Watson, PE, PTOE, extends our in-house services to include traffic signal design, impact studies, and turn lane design, with a full understanding of UDOT standards.

Jason brings over 18 years of dedicated transportation engineering to his new role as the Transportation Department Manager. His deep knowledge results in effective work processes, including on-site data collection and data analysis regarding traffic, safety, and intersection operations. Jason has served as the Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Manager on multiple design-build projects across the state of Utah. Jason will manage our new services, including roadway design (highway design, arterial road design, signing/striping design, intersection design, roundabout design), traffic design (traffic signal design, lighting design, ATMS design, traffic control design, maintenance of traffic), and traffic analysis (traffic impact studies, signal timing analysis, parking studies).
