Gogo Squeez
The Gogo Squeez project involved a 186,000-square-foot expansion of a food processing facility, where FOCUS was responsible for staking out approximately 2,500 geo piers to ensure ground stability. With tight timelines, staking teams worked weekends to keep pace with contractors who drilled just minutes after staking was completed.
Complications arose when a geo pier inadvertently punctured the main fire line, causing significant flooding and revealing undocumented utilities that complicated the construction process. FOCUS responded by tracking the fire line using topographic shots, which were crucial for documenting existing and newly discovered utilities. This enhanced communication and record-keeping between designers and contractors facilitated a smoother progression through the project's phases, ultimately aiding all stakeholders involved.
