Madison Parkway Office Building
The 19,554 GSF office building is located on a busy corner of State Route 151 that was undergoing a significant amount of improvement.
FOCUS carried out site civil and structural engineering services in conjunction with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) road widening and asphalt project.
Civil design at the northeast portion of the site posed a particular challenge as we aligned plans with what UDOT intended. Diligent communication with the developer client, UDOT, and other entities was key in delivering a successful project.
The large parapets at the corners of the building provide a transition between the building façade and the roof. This serves not only as a functional building component but also as an aesthetic statement. Balancing the needs of the developer with building
codes, FOCUS structural engineers collaborated closely with the truss manufacturer to provide a design solution that was economical and feasible to construct.
