FOCUS Outstanding Employees: May 2025 Platinum of the Month

By Focus Engineering In News, Team No comments

The Platinum of the Month award is a testament to the outstanding individuals who embody the core values of FOCUS. Please congratulate the May 2025 PLATINUM of the month employees!

Winner: Michael Miller—Valuing Performance

Nominated by: Cory Thompson

I want to nominate Michael Miller for employee of the month because he has ANTI-NEOPLASTIC properties.

Michael had a great experience holding TEAM members accountable and protecting FOCUS relationships. This led to multiple uncomfortable conversations where he had to express that the person had poor performance and was not hitting FOCUS standards. Michael cared more about what we were trying to do here at FOCUS more than tolerating poor behavior and performance.

He stood firm for what we believe and held individuals accountable even though it was uncomfortable. This is why I would like to nominate Michael for employee of the month: he’s willing to go the distance to defend our core and what we believe in, especially when it’s not convenient or comfortable.

Runner-up: Sydney Bate—Reaching Further

Nominated by: Rylan Huff

HIGH MELTING AND BOILING POINTS. Sydney has recently shown an interest in project management so she can better understand what our clients prioritize and how we can help them achieve their goals. Shortly after this, Sydney went above and beyond to deliver a submittal on very short notice. She showed her PASSION FOR CLIENT SUCCESS by prioritizing the clients deadline and having a high level of COMMUNICATION to make it happen.

Congratulations to Michael and Sydney!  We appreciate your PLATINUM effort, as well as the PLATINUM efforts by everyone who was nominates.  We are also especially grateful for the behind-the-scenes PLATINUM efforts which may not be so easily noticed.  All of these combined efforts by the FOCUS TEAM, are what make FOCUS HIGHLY VALUABLE, DESIRABLE AND RARE.

Thank you to those who recognize the efforts by those around them.  Thank you to Cory T and Rylan H for identifying and nominating our winner and runner-up.
