Holbrook Estates Roundabouts
As part of the master-planned community Holbrook Estates, FOCUS worked closely with Lehi City and the project owners to design three roundabouts along 3600 West. The community is built on the original Holbrook family property along the Jordan River, with views of Mt. Timpanogos.
To bring the local history into this project, each roundabout features a piece of the original Holbrook property in its center. For example, one roundabout has a windmill in the center to pay homage to the Holbrook family and property.
FOCUS designed pedestrian and bike access through the roundabouts to provide safe crossings. The roundabouts were designed to meeting federal guidelines. Roadways leading into the roundabouts were designed to meet city standards.
To match the grading of the roundabouts to these features, FOCUS surveyors and engineers provided accurate elevations and worked with the City to determine an optimal grading solution to meet the project needs. We also worked with the project owner to determine the future elevations of surrounding housing and features to make sure these grades meet those needs.
