3300 W & 2100 N Roadway Improvements
As part of the development of the Timp Point subdivision, FOCUS was tasked with securing a UDOT access permit and designing the connection of 3300 W & 2100 N, a major collector roadway in Lehi City’s Master Transportation Plan, to SR-194 (2100 North), an established east-west artery. They began by meeting with UDOT and Lehi to coordinate the improvements to the intersection and add a separate eastbound right turn deceleration lane fronting Timp Point subdivision.
FOCUS designed and coordinated additional right of way (ROW) to accommodate the required widening of SR-194 and reestablish UDOT’s ROW. The team worked closely with Edge Homes, Lehi City, and UDOT to ensure ROW documents referenced the correct names of property owners when ownership of some properties changed during the middle of the project.
Because the Timp Point subdivision is located west of a large parcel owned by the Holbrook family, FOCUS initially designed improvements west of 3300 West, while still accounting for future construction and access on the east side. Ultimately, FOCUS completed the east side, providing acceleration and deceleration lanes on SR-194 tying into both 3300 West and a new access to the east property.
