Jordan Heights Building 2 is a two-story wood and steel commercial building. The building has several horizontal and vertical irregularities that required specialized structural detailing and analysis for lateral force resistance. Much of the steel beam and column framing required offset columns with beams placed at varying angles requiring special steel connection detailing to meet the design intent. Focus Engineering & Surveying worked closely with the architect and contractor to achieve the desired outcome for the building.
